Housing Information
Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) gives active service members two options for housing; living on base or finding a home off-base within the community.

• As soon as you receive moving orders, contact The Housing Management Office (575) 904-5460, who can answer all of your housing questions or concerns, and will provide you with the latest information on local housing, as well as referral services and relocation assistance.  

Cannon AFB On Base Housing

• The Unaccompanied Housing Office (575) 904-4225 is reserved for airmen in the ranks of E1-E4 with less than 3 years of service. You are provided with private sleeping room, furnishings, bed linens and supplies required for comfortable living.

• On-base housing for Cannon AFB is privatized and operated by Balfour Beatty Communities (575) 784-7141, which offers three neighborhoods: Chavez Manor, Chavez West, and Joe Cannon Estates, with 2-4 bedroom houses for nearly 2,300 base residents. Amenities include: Pool, splash park, baseball/soccer field and dog parks. If the appropriate ranking neighborhood is unavailable, applicants can be placed on a waiting list.
